The Maharashtra Inter Caste Marriage Program 2025 was launched by the Government of Maharashtra under Social justice and Special Assistance Department for promoting and supporting inter-caste marriages between people from categories like Hindu, Jain, Sikh or Scheduled Castes, scheduled tribes, Denotified tribes, special backward classes, Vimukta jati or nomadic tribes.

Eligibility for Inter Caste Marriage Program

Not all couples are eligible to get the benefit under the Inter caste marriage yojana but there are certain conditions pertaining to which the couple gets assistance from the Social justice and Special Assistance Department under Inter Caste Marriage Scheme 2025. Those criteria for eligibility are given below:

  • The couple must be permanent residents of Maharashtra and should have a domicile certificate for proving the same.
  • The couple should comprise 1 person from hindu, jain or sikh community while other partner from  Scheduled Castes, scheduled tribes, Denotified tribes, special backward classes, Vimukta jati or nomadic tribes.
  • The couple must have a valid marriage registration certificate.
  • The age of the groom must be at least 21 years and bride 18 years minimum during the time they tied the knot.
  • They should have recommendation letters from 2 reputed people.
  • They must have their couple photograph which will be submitted during the time of registration.
